Kwikot Industrial Water Heater Leak Repairs

Kwikot Industrial Water Heater Leak Repairs across Gauteng. Leak tracing and repair on vessels, flanges and connecting pipework. Work covers the full Kwikot Industrial Water Heater range from the 500 L KS100 through to 3 000 L vessels, in vertical or horizontal configuration and in mild or stainless steel.

Not every leak is a failed vessel. Flange gaskets, element seats, valve glands and pipework unions account for most reported leaks, and each is repairable. Where the leak is through the shell, we say so plainly and quote replacement.

Vessels are lined with Carboguard 545 or glass-flake epoxy, heated by flanged Incalloy elements and controlled from 6 kW–84 kW pre-wired panels, so any repair has to consider the water side, the element side and the panel together.

Control scheduling is often the cheapest available improvement, particularly where heating windows overlap with peak tariff periods. Gauteng municipal water is moderately hard, so scale on elements and heat exchangers is the single most common cause of falling performance.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on the Kwikot KS100 500 L industrial water heater?

Yes. The KS100 500 L vessel is the most common unit we attend, and the same work applies to the 750 L, 1 000 L, 1 500 L, 2 000 L, 2 500 L and 3 000 L models in the range.

What is included in kwikot industrial water heater leak repairs?

Leak tracing and cladding removal where needed, Flange and element gasket replacement, Valve and union repairs, Shell assessment and thickness check — with anything additional quoted before it is carried out.

How long does it take?

Most gasket and valve leaks are resolved on the first visit.

How long should the vessel take to recover?

Nominal recovery is about six hours from cold to 60 °C at rated electrical loading. If measured recovery is materially slower, the usual causes are scaled elements, a failed element on one phase, or a stepped control panel not bringing all stages in. Sites with long, poorly insulated pipework lose more heat in distribution than most owners expect, which reads as a capacity problem at the outlet.

Where do you carry out this work?

Across Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, West Rand, Midrand, Centurion and Pretoria. Call 069 268 0988 or email info@reyds.co.za.

Can the plant be upgraded rather than replaced?

Often, yes. Electrical loading can be increased inside panel and cabling limits, storage can be banked with a second vessel, and a heat pump can be added ahead of the cylinder to carry base load with the elements as backup.
