Commercial ice plant

Ice Machine Repairs in Johannesburg & Gauteng

Breakdown repair of commercial ice machines that have stopped producing or dropped output.

A repair visit starts with the water circuit and harvest cycle rather than the refrigeration side, because the majority of no-ice calls come down to inlet valves, float valves, water pumps, scaled evaporators or harvest controls. Only once those are cleared do we move on to pressures, superheat and compressor performance.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you attend ice machine repairs in Johannesburg?

Yes. Johannesburg falls inside our standard Johannesburg coverage. Call-outs are run from the central Johannesburg base, which keeps attendance windows short for kitchens in the northern and central suburbs. Call 069 268 0988 to book an attendance slot.

How long does ice machine repairs take?

Most single-fault repairs are completed in one visit where the part is van stock.

Which machines do you work on in Johannesburg?

Everything from self-contained undercounter machines to modular heads on bins and production plant, including flake ice machines, nugget ice machines, tube ice machines. The installed base here runs from single undercounter bar machines through to modular hotel plant and flake counters, so the first job is establishing exactly what is installed and how hard it is worked.

Which brands are covered?

We service all common commercial makes, including Electrolux Professional, Whirlpool Commercial, KTI-Plersch, Hoshizaki, and can source the usual wear parts — inlet valves, float valves, pumps, spray bars, thermostats and fan motors.

What is included in the price?

The visit covers water inlet and float valve testing, water pump and spray bar inspection, evaporator plate and harvest cycle checks and a written record of findings. Parts are quoted before fitting unless you have authorised a repair limit.

A related problem is "Ice Machine Refrigerant Leak" — is that covered?

Output falls progressively and pressures read low. That is diagnosed on the same visit, and the fault page for Johannesburg sets out the usual causes and how we test for them.
